Characters appear as the pipe (|) character rather than the dot (?) character normally used by Windows XP
Using a manifest file to implement the XP look and feel within Progress
Fill-in has the Password-Field attribute enabled
Fill-in is using the default MS Sans Serif font
CAUSE:
The MS Sans Serif font does not contain the dot (?) character and therefore is unable to display the correct character
FIX:
Use an alternative font that contains the dot (?) character for Fill-ins with the Password-Field attribute enabled.
For example, both Courier New and Arial contain this character and display it correctly.
