GOAL:

Is there an "Acceptable error percentage" option available to use with binary load so that I can use it to ignore error (132)?

GOAL:

Can a binary load avoid the creation of duplicate records?

FIX:

No, there is not an "Acceptable error percentage" option available to use with binary load.

When performing a binary load, the utility does not create index entries for the newly loaded data. It is only when Progress performs an index rebuild that it will attempt to create the index keys. At this point, if there is a duplicated record, Progress will fail to create the duplicated index entry for that specific record. However, the record will still remain in the database because the data was already loaded. Therefore, in order to avoid the creation of the duplicated record, one has to load the data using the "Acceptable error percentage" option within the Data Administration Tool.
