SYMPTOM(s):
The Dynamic Lookup and Dynamic Combo objects are missing from the Dynamics Object Palette for some users.
Some users but not all, cannot select the Dynamic Lookup and Dynamic Combo objects from the Dynamics Object palette.
Only the smartSelect and time fields are available from the object palette.
All users use the same ini file and icfconfig.xml file with the same IDEPalette and IDETemplate session startup parameters. The only thing that is different is the user name and password.
CAUSE:
The Repository only records Palette information against a user in terms of preferences from the Administration ->File->Preferences menu option.
The Preferences defined for some users have been modified. The default preferences menu option had been removed and replaced by a custom version. The setting of this custom version was different for some users. Some had '*' and some had a blank entry.
FIX:
Setting the preferences the same for all users resolved the problem.
