Results slow to bring up initial screen
Symptom: It takes 3 - 5 minutes to bring up the initial screen in
Results. The .qc(7) and fastload files already exist.
In one particular case, Results is sitting on an NT Network
file server. The database is on Unix AIX.
The .qc(7) file is on the NT Server.
Resolution: To speed up the time it takes for the initial screen to
appear, one option is to move the .qc(7) file to the
local client PCs.
Regardless of which machine the .qc(7) and fastload files
are on, moving the directory that they are in farther
up in the PROPATH will decrease the time needed start
Results.
