SYMPTOM(s):
Errors 8019 reporting wrong number in ai sequence
Expected ai file number but file specified is in sequence. (8019)
Expected ai file number 1 but file specified is 2 in sequence. (8019)
Rolling forward expected ai file number returns errors 831, 832, 833
** The database was last changed <date/time>. (831)
** The after-image file expected <date/time>. (832)
** Those dates don't match, so you have the wrong copy of one of them. (833)
The expected <date/time> reported in the associated 832 errors are incorrect.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1D
All Supported Operating Systems
CAUSE:
Bug# 20040825-006
FIX:
In the event of an attempt to roll forward the wrong ai file, the 8019 error should correctly report which ai file is actually the next in sequence. Under certain circumstances the incorrect number will be reported by the 8019.
Upgrade to 9.1E or later.
Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.0B + Service Pack 1 (10.0B01) or later.
Workaround:
Currently, trial-and-error is the only method to find out which AI file is the correct one to roll forward.
