SYMPTOM(s):
Dbman fails to start dbase
Proserve can start the database
Progress Explorer cannot write to the conmgr.properties file
Permissions are correct on the conmgr.properties file
Progress Explorer connects to the Unix server successfully.
Error processing database
Database <db name> failed to start (DBMan022)
Adminserver starts successfully
CAUSE:
The cause is unknown at the time of this writing
FIX:
Reformat the Unix box and reinstall Progress.
This will enable you to save changes made from the Progress Explorer to the conmgr.properties file and thus start the dbase.
