SYMPTOM(s):
Getting 6257 error while restoring a database.
Previous volume was incomplete, expected <num> blocks got <num>. (6257)
CAUSE:
The database was able to restore on a second machine. The error would occur at different times during each attempt of the restore. Hardware problems are found on the problem machine.
FIX:
Replace the faulty hardware.
This could be a bad disk drive or disk controller.
