GOAL:
How to set up Progress Explorer to be run by more than one user
GOAL:
How to have Progress Explorer automatically connect to AdminServer without prompting for user login
GOAL:
How to set up Progress Explorer to automatically accept multiple users logins without entering user information each time the utility is accessed
FIX:
1. Create user accounts for each user on the local system where Progress Explorer resides. Use the user's domain or workgroup password.
2. If on a Windows domain, create a domain user for each user. Use the same password as used for the local user account created in step one.
3. Open Progress Explorer tool, right clicking on icon for server
4. Select Properties and enter a valid user name
5. Select 'Save username and password'
6. Select 'Reconnect at startup'
The first time a new user logs onto the system he will be prompted to create a login. Once the login is created, using the same information used in creating the user account, the user has complete access to the system and Progress Explorer Tool. When the user opens Progress Explorer Tool his name will appear in the AdminServer connect properties menu.
