Error 1053 trying to start ProService
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
ProService did not appear in the Services list after Progress was installed
ProServer installed using PROENV command:
prosrvc /install
CAUSE:
DLC value for the ProService is not set in the Registry
FIX:
Ensure that the DLC value for Proservice is set in the following Registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PSC\ProService\<Progress Version>\Environment\DLC
For example:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PSC\ProService\8.3D\Environment\DLC = C:\PROGRESS_83D
