8.2 Installation needs Long File Name Support
If a client is trying to install an 8.2x package on a Novell Server,
they must install the 8.2x package to a volume which has long file
name support.
Typically that requires that they add an additional "name space" to
the Novell Volume (their Network Admin will need to take care of this
because there are specific memory requirements that need to be taken
into consideration when adding any additional name spaces).
We know that OS/2 Name Space provides the required long file name
support.
(We also know that NFS name space does not provide the correct long
file name support under Novell).
Windows 95; Windows NT; UNIX and VMS have long file name support by
default unless you have specifically disabled it.
