Can the Fathom Management trend database be merged with the production database?

Can the Fathom trend database be consolidated with the production database ?
GOAL:
Can we put Fathom trend database together with the reporting database?
FIX:
Theoretically, they're both Progress databases, but it is not advisable to merge the Fathom Trend Database with the production (or any other Progress) database. This possibility has never been considered in the design and as such it has never been tested. The consequences of doing so would result in:
Performance wise:
- The Agent puts an exclusive lock on the schema every time it trends, so this will have a marked effect on performance.
Fathom Management can't trend if:
- If the production database is down
- Whenever you make schema changes to the production database
Application wise:
- Huge potential congruency, convergence conflicts.
