GOAL:
How to find shortname with tilde (~)
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
CAUSE:
If a file or directory name contains more than 8 characters it will get a short name by Windows
FIX:
The short name is displayed with the dir /x command from a dos command prompt, in the fifth column.
Example: MYDOCU~1 is the directory My Documents
