SYMPTOM(s):
WebClient installation fails using Internet Explorer browser
Error on Page is display on the browser
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows XP
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
This is a known issue
FIX:
Create a CD so that you can install WebClient using it. This CD should be created as follows:
Copy all the files under the win_image folder with the executable from the 9.1X (ProgressInstallation\webinstall\webclient\win_image) or 10.0X product CD. For OpenEdge 10 the files are under the web_image folder (OpenEdge\webinstall\webclient\web_image).
The CD should not be created from the WebClient CD, as the WebClient CD only contains the web_image files in 9.1X.
