FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1B
SYMPTOM(s):
Error: Table <table> is in database <db name> and <db name> (425)
Error: Unknown or ambiguous table <table>. (725)
Trying to create a HTML mapping
Connected to two databases.
Error occurs when selecting the SDO while using the mapping wizard
These errors occur when the databases have tables with the same name in common.
CAUSE:
This is a normal behavior when the SDO you selected has been created against only one of the databases, and it was connected with another logical name. In this case the wizard doesn't know which table to use, even if the database that was used to create it is connected under another logical name.
The SDO keeps information about what database was used to create it even when the Options > Preferences > Qualify Database Fields Database Name was not enabled at the time of creation.
FIX:
To avoid the errors, open the SDO master and change the references for the logical name of the database to the name that will be used when multiple databases are connected. To complete this task you can use the search/replace functionality from the Progress editor.
