Report Engine now available for 8.2 - Report Run-time
Report "Run-Time" For PROGRESS Version 8.2
aka: Report Builder's Report Engine (_printrb & prore )
This patch allows you to run existing Report Builder
reports with PROGRESS Version 8.2 applications.
The patch does not give you the ability to create or
modify existing reports.
The Report Engine will work with 8.2A and higher.
However, it does provide the same "report-engine"
functionality that was provided in PROGRESS Version 8.1
deployment products.
We are providing this patch to help you in your migration
process from Report Builder to a new reporting tool. With
this patch, you have the ability to deploy your Version
8.2 applications with existing Report Builder reports.
This "run-time" functionality will not be available in
PROGRESS Version 9.
Please Note: Version 8.2 supports existing Report Builder
reports only. New reports and/or report modifications are
not supported.
The patch must be applied to a Version 8.2 deployment
license (e.g. Client Networking, Personal Database, ProVISION).
The Report "Run-time" is on the FTP site under pub/patches/rep-engine.
