4GL/ABL: Incomplete, garbled or the wrong error message is displayed
Incomplete, garbled or the wrong PROMSGS message is displayed
Partial or the wrong PROMSGS message is displayed
Multiple versions of Progress installed on the machine
CAUSE:
The PROMSGS environment variable is pointing to a PROMSGS file of a version different than the version in use. In this scenario, the wrong error messages may be displayed.
FIX:
Ensure that the PROMSGS environment variable is pointing to the PROMSGS file of the currently running version.
