GOAL:
Can I control the amount of disk space each database extent will use ?
FIX:
Yes. Fixed-length extents have a pre-allocated length defining the amount of disk space each extent will use. Fixed-length extents extend control when an extent is changed.
If you use variable-length after-image extents Progress can not anticipate when an extent becomes full.
