SYMPTOM(s):
Unable to connect more than two clients to the DataServer unified broker.
Configured maxSrvrInstance (<cfgMaxServers>) exceeds maximum licensed servers (<maxLicensedServers>). (8453)
ERROR : Configured maxSrvrInstance (256) exceeds maximum licensed servers (2). (8453)
ERROR: cannot start server. (8100)
Client disconnected : <socketInfo>. (8534)
Error <errMsg> ... disconnecting client. (8091)
Number of connections do not reach the maximum licensed connections.
A WebSpeed workshop license has been installed along with the DataServer product.
With an Oracle DataServer client, the errors below appear:
No servers available
DataServer connection failure. (7255)
Failed to connect to ORACLE database . (1451)
Client connecting to SQL Server DataServer causes the following error along with error 7255:
Failed to connect to the <db-type> database. (6142)
Only OpenEdge Studio and OpenEdge DataServer products are installed
CAUSE:
Bug# OE00112189
FIX:
Upgrade to 10.0B05 or higher
OR
If upgrade is not possible use the _probrkr executable to start the DataServer broker instead of the unified DataServer broker ('mssbroker1' or 'orabroker1').
