Connection failure for service <service_name> host <host_name> transport TCP. (5483)
DataServer connection failure. (7255)
Failed to connect to ORACLE database . (1451)

Running 'telnet {hostname} {service}' from command prompt works fine
The connection via the unified Oracle DataServer broker works fine
The connection to the schema holder is fine
CAUSE:
The -Dsrv svub,1 connection parameter is stored in the schema holder.
This parameter is only required when connecting to a unified Oracle DataServer broker started from Progress Explorer.
FIX:
Remove the -Dsrv svub,1 connection parameter stored in the Schema holder from the Data Administration.
For this, follow the steps below:
1- Open the Data Administration
2- Connect to the schema holder
3- Select the Oracle database as Working Database (Database->Select Working Database)
The connection to the Oracle database is not required, therefore select 'No' when the message asking for connecting to the Oracle database appears.
3- Go to Data Admin->DataServer->ORACLE utilities->Edit Connection Information
4- Remove the -Dsrv svub,1 parameter
