Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1D
Solaris SPARC 8 32-bit
Oracle 9i
SYMPTOM(s):
No tables created by Progress to Oracle migration
Schema holder database created by protoora, but no tables are created within it.
Owner for ORACLE database has SYSDBA privileges.
CAUSE:
SYSDBA privileges are not the correct privileges for carrying out the migration.
The DataServer for ORACLE documentation lists the required system objects that the owner of the ORACLE database must be able to create and/or select. Check the index to find the "Permissions" section.
FIX:
Grant the correct privileges for the owner of the ORACLE database being migrated to, e.g. grant DBA privileges.
