Status: Unverified
SYMPTOM(s):
Scrollbars appear on some windows of the application.
Application has not changed.
CHANGE:
Migrated to a new Progress version.
CAUSE:
The DefaultFixedFont setting is different between the Progress versions from which the application is being migrated, and the Progress version to which the application is being migrated.
DefaultFixedFont is used to calculate the width and height of a PPU [Progress Portable Unit], which in turn is used to calculate a widget's size when its width and height is expressed from the 4GL via the WIDTH[-CHARS] and HEIGHT[-CHARS] attributes. Different settings for DefaultFixedFont imply that two Progress sessions will use different metrics when viewing windows and their content; this may cause the appearance of scrollbars in one of the sessions.
FIX:
Ensure that the DefaultFixedFont setting is the same across all Progress versions.
