GOAL:
How to change the color scheme for the color-coded Procedure Editor
GOAL:
Where does the GUI Procedure Editor store color schemes
GOAL:
How to share custom color settings for the AppBuilder Section Editor
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1x
OpenEdge 10.x
Windows
FIX:
The color-coded code editor allows for changing the color scheme used. How this is done is not fully documented in the AppBuilder documentation.
This can be done in the Options -> Editing Options -> Color Coding -> Colors dialog for the Procedure Editor or AppBuilder.
It also allows saving different sets of settings as schemes by choosing Schemes >> -> Save Scheme in the same dialog.
These schemes are stored in the uscheme.ini file which is located in the <working-directory>\proedit\ directory.
This file can be copied to the same location for another Progress installation to make the schemes available there. To activate a scheme, choose it from the Color scheme combo-box and press Apply.
