GOAL:
How to allow blocked content when accessing local web pages?
FIX:
On Windows XP Service Pack 2, any locally viewed web page that contains active content will be stopped from running with the following Warning:
"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer."
This happens if the user is working with a Progress CBT course CD or with a WebSpeed application. To suppress this warning:
1. Open the Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2. Select Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab
3. Scroll down to the Security section.
4. Check the "Allow active content from CDs to run on My Computer" and the "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer" options.
