Information needed when logging Webspeed(2.x) issues
Logging a WebSpeed 2.x Issue
------------------------------
The purpose of this document is to specify what information
is useful to Progress Technical Support when logging WebSpeed 2.0
issues. Some of this information may be obvious but, because
is is not specifically prompted for on the Progress WebSpeed
WEB page, it can often be forgotten when logging issues.
This information helps Progress Technical Support to handle
and process issues more efficiently.
Thank you for reporting issues for WebSpeed 2.x. Please
review this document for information that may be missing from
your issue report.
- Your Name
- Your Company Name
- Your Phone Number
- Your Fax Number
- The Serial Number for the WebSpeed product for which
you are logging the issue. Please explicitly note
the platform in question as well.
- If you are on an NT platform, please indicate which version
you are running, 3.51 or 4.0.
- Please note whether this issue is for 1.0, 2.0 or 2.1.
- The version and platform of the database you are
using, if applicable.
- The type and version of your Web server.
- The type and version of your Web browser.
- Which type messenger you are using: CGIIP, ISAPI, NSAPI.
- The errors included in the session.log and error.log files
- Any errors reported by the Browser
- A description of the problem
- For Language issues, please include small code samples when
possible
- For installation issues please ALSO include:
(UNIX) A copy of the wtb.cnf file
(NT) The configuration parameters used
