FACT(s) (Environment):
Dynamics
SYMPTOM(s):
Buffer definition in smartDataField Maintenance is not saved
Defining a buffer with Right-Mouse-Click in SDF maintenance is not saved when re-opening the Lookup definition.
Query specified is syntactically incorrect - please specify a valid query.
** Attribute SCREEN-VALUE for the COMBO-BOX coKeyField has an invalid value
of salesrep.salesrep. (4048).
** Attribute SCREEN-VALUE for the COMBO-BOX coisplayedField has an invalid
value of salesrep.salesrep. (4048).
Entry <entry#> is outside the range of list <list-string>. (560)
Entry 3 is outside the range of list ,Sports20000.Order. (560)
Modifying an instance of a dynamic lookup or combo that includes a buffer definition in its query (e.g. bOrder), and adding another reference to another buffer (e.g. 'order') for the same table in the query, removes the defined buffer from the query.
This only happens when modifying the instance query and when there are multiple references in the query to the same table, e.g. 'order' and 'bOrder'.
CAUSE:
This is a known issue being investigated by Development
FIX:
A workaround is to define the query completely in the Master smartDataField object. Removing the need to modify the instance.
