GOAL:
Can an ADM2 application developed in a newer version be deployed with an older ADM2 version?
GOAL:
ADM2 Compatibility backward
FIX:
There is no compatibility backward (with older versions) with ADM2.
An application developed in ADM2 with Progress 9.1E cannot be deployed with Progress 9.1C without recompiling it in Progress 9.1C.
The reason is that the Classes, Methods and Functions used in ADM2 might have changed in the newer ADM2 version.
But you can deploy an ADM2 application developed in Progress 9.1D with a newer ADM2 version, for example Progress 9.1E or OpenEdge 10.x.
There is only an ADM2 compatibility to forward (newer) versions.
