8.0C30 / 7.3C60 Maintenance Release Progress/400 DataServer
The following bugs has been fixed in this release:
96-11-13-036 CHGPRODCT with SYNSCHIMG does not synchronize.
Now CHGPRODCT calls SYNCHIMG properly.
97-02-12-001 DDS gets added to the schema with CHGPRODCT.
The DDS file has been renamed to P__DDS.
97-03-27-016 TIME fields not working properly.
Now time fields are handled better.
97-06-06-031 LFP STRPRONET on RISC message for PTF.
When trying to start LFP on a RISC machine, it is issued
a message saying that this is not supported.
97-06-10-015 CHGPRODCT doesn't recognize changes on AS/400 files if
the changes only affects the key fields.
Now the changes are recognized.
97-06-11-026 Some messages are not found after the install process
because the PRO4MSG file used during install is in QTEMP
and deleted after the process.
Now the PROGRESS library is added to the library list.
97-06-19-045 The PROSET option PROCESS-DFT-DDS-KEYWORD (for CHGPRODCT)
is being ignored if the value is N (no).
Corrected.
97-06-19-056 CHGPRODCT- Count of files changed.
Now the CHGPRODCT commands returns the correct number of
changes files.
97-06-24-005 AS/400 Native 4GL Authority. The transfer programs
supplied on diskette (transfil.p, transdir.p) gives the
owner of the stream file being transferred to READ, WRITE
and EXECUTE rights. *PUBLIC rights are granted by
default.
97-07-03-004 CHGPRODFT minor changes.
Now help is working and parameters are handled better.
97-07-08-001 CONVMAP file in PRO/400 CISC is wrong.
Now is correct.
97-07-10-006 USRDTAQ program missing on CISC.
Now it is supplied and data queues are able to work.
97-07-11-002 RMVSCHE syntax checking should be improved.
It has been.
97-07-21-029 If CVTSRVSCH encountered an error, it did not remove the
EXCLRD lock on the dictionary library.
Now it does.
97-07-22-012 Wrong records are returned if doing queries on a field
that is not an index and is case sensitive.
Solved.
97-07-24-028 DBA commit failure loading .df.
Solved.
97-08-21-001 Join Logical file does not find records.
Some join logical files can not work. See 8.0C30 Release
Notes for details.
97-08-27-001 MAP-VARIANT-CHARACTERS default is N.
Changed to Y as it should be.
The following new features have been included in this release:
- Word indexing is supplied in Beta phase. Contact Tech Support to
apply for it.
- New CHGPRODFT utility to change the default values for case
insensitive table name, DLC directory name for Native 4GL and
temporary library name. It is needed when you move the Progress
product to another library and directory.
- PROCALL, program to call Progress 4GL programs from OS/400 HLL's.
- Data Area Support.
- User Space Support.
