FACT(s) (Environment):
IBM AS/400 (RISC)
ODBC DataServer
OpenEdge 10.0B
SYMPTOM(s):
There are no objects in the ODBC database that satisfy the selected criteria
Data Direct DB2 Wire Protocol driver v5.00.00.102
Service Pack 10.0B02 has been installed
"Catalog Schema" option points to a specific Collection
CAUSE:
This is a known issue being investigated by Development
FIX:
Currently, the only workaround is to remove the setting for the 'Catalog Schema' option in the driver's setup. In this case, the driver will retrieve the information about the objects from the system wide SQL Catalog views on the AS/400 (located in QSYS2 library) instead of a 'local' Collection.
In order to limit access to a particular Collection, enable the option 'Use Current Schema for Catalog Functions' in the Advanced Tab of the driver's Setup, leaving 'Catalog Schema' blank. In this case, the driver will access SQL Catalog views located in the Collection specified in the General Tab of the driver's Setup (ODBC Administrator)
