AdminServer doesn't start after installing Fathom Management Service Pack 02
JVMARGS have been tuned in the registry previously
No messages recorded in unified broker log files
No messages recorded in the admserv.log file
No exceptions or javacore files produced
CAUSE:
The Service Pack installation modifies JVMARGS in registry to the default value (-mx128m) for maximum heap size. As a consequence the AdminServer fails to startup due to the incompatible initial and maximum heap sizes specified. ie: The initial heap size is now greater than the maximum heap size.
FIX:
Run "regedit" and modify the JVMARGS heap sizes back to their previous settings so that that the intial heap size is less-than or equal to the maximum heap size at the following Registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PSC\PROGRESS\<Progress_version>\JAVA\JVMARGS
