CAUSE:
Bug# OE00111588
CAUSE:
When reading from a device the ABL was incorrectly attempting to read two bytes in order to check whether the data was unicode or not. For serial devices this could cause a hang if there was only one byte available to be read.
FIX:
Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.0B02 or later
