SYMPTOM(s):

AppBuilder crashes when inserting OCX control to a window

The access violation occurs in MSVBVM50.DLL

The stack trace from prowin32.exe reads:
_vbaStrCat
rtcErrObj
ThunRTMain

The OCX control has been written from Visual Basic

Visual Basic (VB) is not installed on the machine

The problem can be reproduced when inserting the OCX into a MS Excel spreadsheet

The OCX control can be inserted into an AppBuilder window on a machine where VB is installed

CAUSE:

The DLL files required for properly using the OCX control are not installed.

FIX:

There are 2 options:

1- Contact the vendor of the OCX control in order to get the right DLLs file.

or

2- Install Visual Basic on the machine
