SYMPTOM(s):
Linking a Progress database from within MS SQL Server fails
Error 7302: Could not create an instance of OLE DB provider "MSDASQL"
The progress client on this box is a Shared Network Install.
CAUSE:
The linking process is looking to a local registry entry for the OLE DB provider
FIX:
In order to get the required registry entries locally, do a complete local install of Client Networking , rather than the Shared Network Install
