GOAL:

Is it possible to edit the WebClient alert box that appears during an installation?

GOAL:

Is it possible to edit the alert box warning "This application is not secure. This means that it is not guaranteed by a trusted authority to be safe to install and run on your system."

GOAL:

Is the WebClient initial alert box accessible for editing?

GOAL:

May I alter the initial screen warning the application is not secure that appears during the WebClient installation?

FACT(s) (Environment):

Windows
Progress 9.1x
OpenEdge 10.1x

FIX:

No it is not possible to edit the WebClient alert box at this time. The WebClient alert box is implemented in "C" code in the prowcini.exe, which is run to initiate a WebClient application. Enhancement requests 20050419-027 and OE00202870 have been logged with OpenEdge Development for this issue.
