Status: Verified
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot connect to a remote database
The license for remote connections has expired. (4447)
No PROCFG environment variable defined
The DLC and PATH environment variables are pointing to the correct install directories
CAUSE:
The progress.cfg file shows that there are two licenses that allow remote connections. The first license in the progress.cfg list has an expiration Date before today's date or the current OS date, in other words it has expired. As the first license read has expired, this message is returned and the connection is not allowed.
FIX:
If the license in question is needed, then please contact your Progress Account Manager to discuss license renewal.
Otherwise, uninstall Progress and re-install without the expired license.
