SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot connect to a remote database
The license for remote connections has expired. (4447)
There is no PROCFG environment variable defined on the system
The DLC and PATH environment variables are pointing to the correct install directories
CAUSE:
The progress.cfg file shows that the expiration Date for the license that allows remote connections is before today's date or the current OS date, in other words it has expired.
FIX:
Please contact your Progress Account Manager to discuss license renewal.
