Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1E
OpenEdge 10.0B
SYMPTOM(s):
Database q:\db\test is enabled for Failover Clusters but it was not started due to error 0. (12470)] (ADMMsg005)
Unable to start clustered database from Progress Explorer
dbman fails to start clustered database
Database is correctly located on a clustered device
procluster database start works fine
Starting a database from cluster manager utility works fine
CAUSE:
The -adminport is specified incorrectly within the database.pf file
FIX:
The -adminport is not the port where AdminServer is listening on (default 20931), but a port for database plugin in order to communicate with _mprosrv, which vary the default value from 7835 to 7838 depending on the Progress/Open Edge release and service pack (see solution P104080).
