SYMPTOM(s):
Getting following error when doing an entity import:
A ryc_object_instance already exists with the specified object number. Please ensure your database sequences have been set correctly. You cannot add a duplicate. *** Error: AF:31 Program: error-message icf/trg/rycoitrigc.p
CAUSE:
A dataset export/import was done previously with a bad site number, leading to a corrupted repository with bad site sequences (used for the _obj fields).
FIX:
Ideally, restore a backup of the ICFDB before the import was done and use the correct site number to do the import so that the two ICF-dbs are in sync.
Administration Menu->System->Set Site Number
Alternatively, set the site number and increment the sequences, then run the import again. Caution, this may lead to orphan entity records in repository table ryc_object_instance. Please refer to Progress Solution, P118566, "Running entity import creates multiple datafields having name ending with number in parentheses (n)"
