Can not use Actuate End User Desktop or Viewer Help
When you install the Actuate Developer Workbench version 2.010b that
comes with Progress Provision, you are able to view reports with the
End User Desktop or, using the API, view reports using the Viewer.
However, you are not able to use HELP from the End User Desktop or
Viewer. This is because the End User Desktop and Viewer help files
are not installed with a Developer Workbench installation. This is a
bug. Until this is fixed, if you need to use End User Desktop HELP or
Viewer HELP, you will need to install the help files for these
products separately. The help files are now available from the
Actuate web site - http://www.actuate.com/TechSuppRes/TechSuppHelp.htm
The help file for the End User Desktop is called runview.hlp.
The help file for the Viewer is called viewer.hlp.
You may download these files, unzip them, and install them into
c:\Actuate\Devwb\HELP.
Alternatively, you may install the complete End User Desktop and/or
Viewer products. The Viewer is available for free from the Actuate
website - http:/www.actuate.com/products/vp.html
