How to set the startup page for a SmartFolder
INTRODUCTION:
=============
This knowledgebase gives you step-by-step instructions showing how to
configure which page of a SmartFolder will be selected when the
SmartObject which contains the SmartFolder is run.
WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS:
===========================
You need to know this so that (obviously) you can set what page/tab
gets initially displayed.
ASSUMPTIONS:
============
The following steps assume that you are using Progress Version 8.2A.
These instructions will work for earlier versions of Progress, however
the icons and icon names may be slightly different.
PROCEDURAL APPROACH:
====================
1) Open the SmartObject which contains the SmartFolder for whom you
wish to configure the startup page/tab.
2) In the User Interface Builder window, select the "Procedure
Properties" button (it should be the fourth button from the left
on the toolbar).
At this point, you should have a window on the screen that has a
title of "Procedure Settings".
3) In the Procedure Settings window, click the "Pages" icon (it
should be the fifth icon down on the right side of the window).
At this point, you should have a window on the screen that has a
title of "Pages".
4) In the Pages window, click the button named "Start...".
At this point, you should have a window on the screen that has a
title of "Startup on Page".
5) Type in the page number (i.e. tab number) that you want to have
selected when the SmartObject is run.
6) Click the "OK" button to close the "Startup on Page" window.
7) Click the "OK" button to close the "Pages" window.
8) Click the "OK" button to close the "Procedure Settings" window.
Voila, You Are Done!!
