If the WebSpeed Transaction Server is to reside on a different machine then the Web server then the Messenger product for the platform where your Web server resides can be downloaded from the Progress ftp site. The Messenger will need to be installed on the same machine as the Web server. Messenger executables for different platforms are not available on the Transaction Server installation tapes or CD-ROMs. They can be downloaded from our FTP site and the latest versions can be downloaded from the Web.
The Progress FTP site can be accessed via the following address:
ftp://ftp.progress.com/pub/webspeed/
The files can be found in the following directories -->>
/msngrs (for 2.0 Messengers)
/21msngrs (for 2.1 Messengers)
/31msngrs (for 3.1 Messengers)
In this sub-directory there are several files including a readme.txt. Please see the readme.txt for information on what files you need and how to do the install.
