SYMPTOM(s):

Errors 831, 832, 833, 1046 when rolling forward onto an OS copy of the database

The database was last changed <date>. (831)

** The after-image file expected <date 2>. (832)

** Those dates don't match, so you have the wrong copy of one of them. (833)

Roll forward of file <ai file name> did not complete normally (1046)

Process an After-Image Roll Forward on an OS copy of the database which Date is not the same as the After-Image file.

CAUSE:

Tried to process an After-Image Roll Forward on a database where the Date is not the same as the After-Image file, due to OS copy utility not preserving date/time stamps of the related database files. File last opened date and time needs to be consistent with expected date and time reported in 832 error. If these dates and time do not match, there is no way to force the application of the AI file against that database.

FIX:

Review the OS copy utility to ensure that date time stamps are preserved.
