SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot run Import External Data using Excel
MERANT 3.6 ODBC driver returns an error to the application
unable to obtain list of tables from the data source
CAUSE:
Datadirect bug when using some ODBC 2.x applications like Microsoft Excel to import data from databases.The ODBC driver does not always return catalog names.
FIX:
Upgrade the Progress ODBC driver from version 3.6 (pgpro915.so) to DataDirect 4.1 (pgpro918.so) 32-Bit Progress SQL92 or higher. Driver can be found installing service pack 6 or later.
