Error 126 when trying to setup system ODBC DSN for the Informix database
Test connect through ODBC Administration\Data Sources fails with error 126
Specified driver could not be loaded due to system "error 126" (MERANT 3.70 32-BIT PROGRESS).
On a Windows platform, error code 126 translates to "ERROR_MOD_NOT_FOUND = specified module could not be found."
Informix database server is located on a different machine
CAUSE:
An older or wrong version of Informix client was installed in the ODBC DataServer machine
FIX:
Install the correct or similar version of the Informix client on the ODBC DataServer machine which corresponds to the Informix database version
