No other errors in the database log
Getting "requested write failed; only partial write ..." when trying to copy (cp) the large database extents to a new location.
CAUSE:
The user file size limit is too low. Even though the database extent can be created larger than operating system file size limit, the error does not occur until the data written to the extent reaches the file size limit.
FIX:
Increase the user file size limit to a size greater than the largest database extent.
