How to get the Application Compiler?
GOAL:
Can you run Application Compiler with OpenEdge Development Serve - Custom installation with only 'Compile Tool GUI' selected?
FACT(s) (Environment):

FIX:
The Application Compiler will not be installed with OpenEdge Development Serve - Custom installation with only 'Compile Tool GUI' selected.
This installation will not include the prowin32.exe hence you will not be able to run the Application Compiler.
To get the Application Compiler with minimum installation do:
- Install OpenEdge Application Server - Complete installation (Or some other component including prowin32.exe)
- install OpenEdge Development Server - Custom select 'Compile Tool GUI'
The Application Compiler will now work fine.
Note:As of 10.2A, Progress introduced OpenEdge Development Server 64-bit for Windows. In a Progress 64-bit install on Windows, you must use the character-based Application Compiler tool as the GUI Compiler tool is not available in 64-bit at this time.
