FACT(s) (Environment):

Progress 9.1D
Progress 9.1E
OpenEdge 10.x

SYMPTOM(s):

Fillin Entry Trigger does not fire moving from second window fillin to first window fillin.

Fillin with a design time initial value fails to fire entry trigger when moving focus from another window fillin.

This behavior changed in Progress service pack 9.1D09.

The problem exists in both ADM1 and ADM2 smartWindows.

CAUSE:

Bug# 20050107-001

CAUSE:

This is a known issue being investigated by Development

FIX:

Upgrade to 9.1E01 or later.
Upgrade to 10.0A02 or later.

Alternatively, ways to work around the problem are:

1. Remove any application of fillin entry triggers in the window local-initialize or initializeObject override procedures.
2. Remove the design time initial value of the fillin so it is blank.
3. Remove the design time initial value of the fillin so it is blank. Then set its screen-value in window local-initialize or initializeObject override with fillin:screen-value = "xxxx".
