SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot stop _progres processes using Task manager
The following error occurs:
Unable to Terminate Process
The operation could not be completed.
Access is denied.
CAUSE:
_progres configured to be run from a Windows service.
This makes it a child process that cannot be terminated directly.
FIX:
Check the Windows event logs to trace which Windows service the process is started from, and stop that service.
