Frame display problem with Motif on Solaris 2.4 and 2.5
In Progress version 7.3D and 7.3E on sun solaris 2.4 and 2.5 with M
OTIF there is a side effect. When you intermittently display a fram
e or a pope-up menu several times, at a certain stage, the mentioned
widgets will take some seconds to appear on the screen.
In complex application it will even take a longer time. An end user
not seeing the widget displayed might think the application has encoun
ter an error and will try to end the application.
This has course a lot of problem to one of our customer with complex
applications.
A work around is to set the session immediate-display attribute to YES
or TRUE .
SESSION: IMMEDIATE-DISPLAY = YES.
