Do VSTs (Virtual System Tables) cause performance problems?
This kbase entry has been created to document general performance
concerns regarding using VSTs and developments perspective of VSTs
internals and their non-impact on performance.
VSTs do not affect or cause performance hits. The reason there is
no performance hit is because every record request gets checked to
see if its for a VST record regardless of whether VSTs have been
enabled or not. All information for the VST's are in shared memory.
Therefore a database block will not be eveicted to retrieve the VST
records.
