SYMPTOM(s):
Getting error when migrating Tables with field containing more than 255 extents
ORACLE DataServer does not support extents > 255, table <table name>
If the -s startup parameter is not high enough, the error below occurs instead:
SYSTEM ERROR: stkpush: stack overflow. Increase the -s parameter. (279)
CAUSE:
This is a limit in the product. The maximum number of extents that the Oracle DataServer can handle is 255.
FIX:
There are 2 options:
1- Migrate to OpenEdge 10 where this limit does not exist anymore
OR
2- Reduce the number of extents in the table's fields
